Anna Dressed in Blood

Anna is a ghost, she was murdered in 1958. She was sentenced to haunt the house she was murdered in by a curse put on her by her cruel mother. She is dressed in the same white dress that she was murdered in that is now stained with blood. Anna murders people and leaves no trace of their dealth but she doesn't want to kill people and struggles to control the evil inside her. Then she meets Cas.

Cas is a ghost hunter. His dad was also a ghost hunter but he was killed by a demon named Obachman, the same demon after Cas. Cas uses his dads special knife called an athame to kill the evil ghost. He and his mother move from place to place chasing ghost and end up at Thunder Bay after hearing about The ghost of Anna, a ghost committing horrible murders.

Cas meets the most popular girl in school named Carmel and they become friends. Carmel's ex boyfriend Mike gets jealous of Cas and tries to trick him, taking him to Anna's house. This is what Cas was hoping for, Anna ends up killing Mike that first night Cas meets Anna. Cas intends to kill Anna and Anna intends to murder Cas, however the two develop feelings for each other and neither can do what they intended to do. In the end, Anna sacrifices herself to save Cas by leading Obachman to a hole in the floor that leads to hell.

I loved this book! It was scary and suspenseful and kept me wanting more! Anna is scary and dangerous but at the same time she is vulnerable and you find yourself liking her. There is a hint of a love store in the middle of the evil and fear. I would say this book really has it all, there is something for everyone.

Will Sean finally let others in? In the Scorpio Races you will experience the true feeling of real friendship, love, and relationships.

I gave Scorpio Races * * * * * stars because...I was completely mesmerized by the characters and with Stiefvater's style. I have never...ever..in my life read a book like this. I felt the love and friendship between Sean and Corr. His need to be with Corr and Corr needing Sean...it was the perfect example of true friendship and understanding, as crazy as that might sound. Kate's personality really caught my attention, although sometimes I wanted to slap her. She didn't give up when every one told her to drop out and that her mere "pony" would get her killed, she believed in her and they understood each other without needing to use words. Simply through body language. I really liked this. The characters were well developed and I absolutely loved it!

I really can't wait for this series to develop even more.....If this is a series, haha.

Awakened is the eighth book in The House of Night series, and it continues on with Zoey and her friends trying to rid the earth of the evil Neferet and Kalona. However, all of that is put on hold when when in Burned, Zoey soul is shattered and she is stuck in Nyx's Realm. So it's up to Stark and the rest of Zoey's friends to help get her back before it's too late while also trying to get rid of Neferet and Kalona. Now that Zoey has been saved, she and Stark are gaining back there strength and Stevie-Rae is now presiding has the High Priestess at the House of Night in Tulsa, but everything is going wrong. Stevie-Rae is still trying to hide her relationship with Rephaim and to make it worse, Neferet has returned to try and take back the House of Night with the help of Darkness, and kills an innocent boy to do it. With all that's going on, the House of Night is desperate for Zoey to come back home because they believe she is the only one that can destroy Neferet, but there is only one problem. Zoey is not sure that she wants to come back to the House of Night. With all that's going on, who else will die by Neferet's hand? What will happen between Stevie-Rae and Raphaim? Will they be discovered, and if they are, what will be the outcome? And will Zoey return to help not only save the House of Night, but perhaps the world from decay? Read this amazing book to find out.

Awakened I thought was a very important book in this series. It answers a lot of questions that many may have had from reading the first seven books. It also puts together a lot of Aphrodite's visions and makes them come out in this book. I gave this book four stars because like all the others, it keeps me locked in and wanting to know what is going to happen next. So I definitely recommend Awakened along with the rest of the House of Night Series for those who have not read this yet in the O'Hara library. So enjoy and for those who are reading this series, Destined, the next in this amazing series comes out later this year. Yay!
